Internship Description:
An internship with MSNBC provides an experience that can make selected interns strong future candidates in a very competitive industry. Interns working at MSNBC become real members of a popular cable news network and get to see first-hand what takes place when actually working at the station. This opportunity is for those students who are committed to a career in media broadcasting.
Types of Opportunities:
There are a wide range of opportunities available through MSNBC, such as:
Newsroom, primetime, archives/acquisitions, strategic operations, on-air graphics, NBC satellite operations, and technical operations internships.
Requirements:
- Candidates must be enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program at an accredited college or university
- Candidates must be 18 years or older and currently a sophomore or above
- Candidates must be able to receive academic credit from their college or university
- Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 3 days per week
In addition, MSNBC looks for students who have gained experience through coursework, volunteer work through college clubs/organizations, and/or prior work in media through internships or jobs.
