Finding a Temp Agency You Want to Work For:

  1. Decide on where you’re willing to work and how far you’re willing to travel.
  2. Develop a list of the types of jobs you are most interested in working and another list that describes the type of jobs that you would be least interested in doing.
  3. Do an online search entering “Temp Agencies” + “City and State” of where you’d like to work.
  4. Create a list of Temp Agencies based on locations and other information you can find online (some agencies offer general job opportunities while others specialize in specific job categories).
  5. Contact the agencies of most interest and ask the kinds of job opportunities that they provide. Many will divulge a partial list of clients over the phone which can help you decide if it’s the agency you want to work for. They may also allow you to submit your resume, cover letter, etc., and apply for jobs online.
  6. Sign up with as many agencies as you feel comfortable with based on your research.
  7. Accept job assignments of interest that will ultimately help you achieve your goals.
