Whether you're doing an internship or a co-op, you're still getting the relevant experience that employers are looking for in job candidates today.
Internships are usually brief experiences comprised of one semester or summer; whereby co-op experiences usually fluctuate between a semester of college courses followed by an experience working for an employer full-time. Most co-op experiences are full-time and paid and may go on for several semesters; where internships can be full or part-time, paid or unpaid, but usually end at the end of the summer or the semester.
Both internships and co-op experiences are great opportunities for students since relevant experience is something that employers seek when evaluating new candidates.
