Qualifications:
This internship is open to all students with disabilities currently enrolled in a two or four year college program at the time they begin the internship. All applicants must have completed a minimum of one semester of college at the time they apply and must be U.S. citizens, 18 years of age, and possess some type of disability.
Benefits:
A stipend of $2,500 will be paid in 3 equal installments and housing is provided for all interns. Students wishing to do the internship for credit can arrange for this via their college or university. Roundtrip transportation to Washington, DC, will be arranged prior to and at the end of each internship.
The internship offers students a series of seminars and special events and introduces them to a variety of national disability leaders.
