Returnships@Sara Lee

Sunday November 16, 2008
Sara Lee offers returnships that are designed for mid-level career professionals looking to return to the workforce by testing the waters prior to jumping in. These opportunities are geard toward professionals who have taken time off from the work force and who are looking to re-enter by trying out specific opportunities that are open to them. This program specifically targets stay at home moms who have experience in a field such as sales, marketing, human resources, finance, operations, or IT and offers them a chance to return to work and begin utilizing their skills again in the workforce.

This program was developed by Brenda Barnes, CEO of Sara Lee, and former of PepsiCo North America. Brenda had decided to take a break to be with her own kids while they were growing up and she is passionate about other moms having the opportunity to do the same thing.

Katherine Lewis, About.com's Guide to Working Moms, offers many tips for working moms on issues such as work/life balance, finances, childcare issues, stress relief, time management, etc.
