Why my Intern was a waste
- I feel that my Internship was a waste of time and my career primarily because just when the Internship begun, My University had a Career Fair and I thought it would have been unprofessional to ask for a leave so early to change jobs/look for new jobs. This was my last year at school and later I realized that many companies were on campus hiring students during this fair. It was a disaster for me to not attend the fair and to worsen things, i was not offered a full time position at the end of the Internship and just let go. My advise to future interns will be to never take an Internship with an organization where there has not been a history of hiring students as full time. So be careful and do not miss out crucial events at your University especially if you are in the last semester of your study.
