My Shadowing Experience

I went to the Neuroscience Center affililated with the Mass General Hospital near Boston Massachusetts. Everyone was amazing and generous and I had a great time. I spent the day talking to different people of different jobs and I got to sit in on a patient visit, where the Doctors explained everything they did.

Lessons Learned

  • There is no rush, the average age of a freshman at medical school is 27.
  • I will have many oppurtunities to travel

Penny Loretto, Internships Guide, says:

This is an amazing opportunity for a first year student to experience. Job shadowing offers a first-hand look at what it's actually like working in a career field of interest and provides exposure to the work environment. Students interested in the medical field can get a peek at what it's like working in a healthcare facility as well as the opportunity to get their questions answered.
