Students Gain Hands-On Experience:
By being matched with various AT&T employees, students get the chance to learn about the various potential career options that are available. Students learn how what they learn in the classroom actually applies to the real world. In the AT&T JA Job Shadowing Program, students get hands-on experience along with a better understanding of what educational background and skills are needed to be successful on the job.
Goals of the Program:
AT&T provides one of the largest and most successful job shadowing programs that exists today in corporate America. It is a large scale program that to date has clocked over 92,000 hours in volunteering for AT&T employees. One of the goals of the program is to reach over 100,000 high school students over the course of the next five years.
AT&T Teams Up With Junior Achievement to Offer Job Shadowing Experiences:
AT&T has teamed up with Junior Achievement
to offer one of the largest and most successful Job Shadowing Programs to be offered by a large corporation. Created in 2008, the AT&T Junior Achievement Job Shadowing Program offers opportunities for high school students to team up with a member of the AT&T team.
