A Sampling of AmeriCorps Summer Programs

Americorps is comprised of three very different programs and volunteers should carefully read each description before making a decision. For those who are still unsure of which program is right for them after reading about each program, AmeriCorps offers an "interactive selector” on their website to help volunteers decide which program is right for them. AmeriCorps offers students an opportunity to make money for college or to help pay off students loans once they’ve graduated.

The usual commitment ranges from 9 to 12 months but there are also summer programs available; such as:

2. AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC) Summer of Service
