Jenny has a unique story on how she came to create Experience, Inc. Jenny graduated with a Bachelor of Art's degree in psychology from Dartmouth College in 1993 and then went to work for Bain & Company in Boston. After a conversation with her sister who was just about to graduate from college, Jenny decided to leave her current position and become an entrepreneur and create a company that would provide a service to young people who were just starting out in their career. She hoped to create a partnership between employers and colleges to make it easier for college students who were getting ready to graduate and begin looking for jobs.
Experience, Inc., was started in 1996 right at the beginning of internet craze. The internet seemed like the perfect vehicle for what Jenny was hoping to accomplish. She reached out to her alma mater and then extended this outreach to other colleges in the Boston area. She learned all she could about how to make the job search process easier for new graduates. She also wanted to provide career information that would help them make better decisions as they entered into the job search process.
Although Jenny was working for a global consulting firm, she always had visions of eventually becoming a tennis player, tv anchor, or a consultant. She really never entertained the thought of becoming an entrepreneur; but now that she is, she couldn’t be happier.
And yes, Jenny still plays tennis.
