It is this group of Disney professional employees that are the designers and architects of the park that make Disney – Disney. They ensure the quality and are the creative arm of the business. They take the dreams and suggestions of others and create what’s necessary to make them a reality. Applicants who have completed internships in one or more of these fields will have a better chance of getting a future job with the company than those that haven’t.
Imagineers wear many hats and Disney looks for people with skills in more than one area to fill these jobs. This group of extremely talented and creative people work collaboratively in a team environment to make the impossible possible. Candidates interested in working as an Imagineer at Disney must provide the corporation with a killer portfolio outlining their interests, unique skills and personal accomplishments.
Disney Creative Entertainment
Disney Creative Entertainment is the division that produces, designs, and writes all of the large-scale stage productions that are unique and appear in all areas of the park. From the parades and gigantic firework displays to the holiday gala event, there are many people behind the scenes that make these things happen.
They also are involved in producing Broadway shows such as Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Mary Poppins, etc., and are the sponsors of the Disney on Ice performances that travel around the country. They also create shows for the Disney cruise ships as well as owning movie studios such as Pixar, Touchstone Pictures, and Miramax. This is also where the available jobs in stage production, music, dance and choreography, audio/visual, Radio Disney on air personalities, etc., are employed.
Individuals who are selected to work in Creative Entertainment are usually already employed at the park and have supplied the Entertainment recruiters with their proven experience in show production, technical areas, previous jobs as coordinator or crew chief, and a relevant college degree in disciplines such as communications, theater, directing, or performance. This is definitely an area where one can move up in Disney.
Learning new skills, shadowing professionals in the department, and volunteering to participate in all areas where you can gain more knowledge and skills in the field will help you move up. These opportunities abound at Disney once someone has been accepted into Creative Entertainment.
Adventures by Disney

They handle all of the planning and ensure that guests experience all of the fantastic historic and exciting sites that exist in each itinerary and final destination. These immersive experiences are like no other and maintain all of the quality one comes to expect from Disney. One of the beauties of traveling with these small groups of people on a Disney Adventure is the extras that are built in to the itinerary that those traveling alone may never have heard of or perhaps only dreamed about.
Your trip will be conducted with the assistance of two Adventure Guides who are responsible for taking care of the needs of their guests. Travel, reservations, and personal needs are all attended to by each group’s assigned guides. There are also events unique to kids, adolescents, and adults that work to make the experience even more enjoyable for all participants. “Kids Only” events provide experiences and parties geared toward the ages of participants.
As with all Disney jobs, relevant experience and an internship completed at one of the Disney Parks in Florida or Disney Land in California are taken into account during the hiring process. Students with a serious interest in eventually landing a job at one of the Disney Parks should work hard to develop the relevant skills required by one or more of these jobs as well as look into completing one or more internships with Disney.
