Summer Camp Jobs

If you are still looking for something to fill up those months before returning to campus, how about working at a summer camp? If you are interested in education as a future job, summer camps are great resume builders. You may choose between a day or overnight camp which, either way, gives you great experience in working with children. College students often get an opportunity to use their talents and skills by teaching children about acting, art, science, sports, the environment, and many other skills such as basic survival (cooking, first aid, swimming) learned at camp.

Most overnight campus provide room and board and give students an opportunity to live in a new environment without having to pay any expenses for room and board.

Ask that you be put on a wait list if the camp has already hired its counselors for the summer since plans may change and new opportunities may open up. You can also follow up just prior to the start of camp to see if there are any unforeseen vacancies that have occurred.
