We may think that the only incentive for employees do a good job is because of the money and benefits they receive from their employer. But what about students who are doing an internship for free?
The fact is that being employed provides many additional benefits to employees other than the obvious. When an employee loses his or her employment, the fact is that no more money may be coming in but there are far more complicated issues attached to a job that the employee may not have been consciously aware of.
Having a job not only provides income and benefits, it also gives employees a sense of purpose by knowing that they are creating a meaningful product or service that is of benefit to others. Whether in the classroom or working for an employer, doing a good job brings many additional benefits.
