If you want to travel over winter break, perhaps you'd like to take a trip to one of the Seaworld Parks and inquire about an internship.
SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment owns a series of marine parks with locations in Orlando, Florida; San Diego, California: and San Antonio, Texas. Four graduates of UCLA originally set out to build an underwater restaurant but instead wound up creating the largest series of marine parks in the world.
Seaworld San Diego, the first SeaWorld park, opened in 1964, then came Seaworld Orlando in 1973, and finally Seaworld San Antonio opened in 1988. SeaWorld Orlando was the first marine park to have a Killer Whale born in captivity. Killer Whales are the main attraction of the SeaWorld parks, but other residents include Bottlenose Dolphins, sharks, sea turtle, manatees, greater flamingos, and more. During the Christmas Holidays SeaWorld Orlando gives park guests an opportunity to ride the Polar Express to the North Pole and meet Santa Claus, in addition to polar bears, walruses, penguins, and beluga whales. One of the biggest attractions is the Shark Encounter which you don't want to miss while you're down there.
