This week's Internship of the Week is with The Boston Globe.  Interning with the Boston Globe provides an opportunity to gain some excellent skills working in the field of journalism.  As I've mentioned many times in previous  blogs and articles, internships with the Boston Globe requires that students be aware of internships with early deadlines.

To qualify, students must have an interest and aptitude for newspaper work. The Boston Globe Summer Intern Program also requires completion of at least one previous internship at a daily newspaper, a valid drivers license, and an ability to type at least 30 words per minute. Interns are paid a minimum wage and there are a variety of shifts available.

In February 2005, the Wall Street Journal listed The Boston Globe as the only newspaper in "America's A-List of Internships". Each year The Boston Globe offers full-time twelve week summer internship opportunities for all students currently enrolled as an undergraduate student; as well as, opportunities for graduate school students currently studying journalism who have not had any previous professional experience working as a newspaper reporter.
