Networking is a Powerful Tool

Networking is one of the most talked about strategies in finding a job which can also be used for finding internships. It is said that up to 85% of jobs are never advertised and we can assume that there are also many internships that are never advertised as well. Networking helps us to uncover those hidden possibilities.

As a college student you can visit your Career Services office to learn more about networking and to see if they have an online database that provides contact information for your college's alumni and perhaps other professionals currently working in your field of interest. For more information on internship, be sure to check out my Ten Tips for Networking posted on the website.
