If you are thinking about getting an internship for fall semester, it’s a good time to begin doing some research and making some contacts. You can begin looking by checking your college’s website to see what local internships are listed. If your college is located in a city, you can check out the many internship listings of internships listed nationally.

If you are having difficulty finding internships located near your college, contact your Career Services Office and ask to speak with a career counselor. Faculty can also assist you by letting you know where other students have done internships in your field of interest.

Prospecting for an internship can often be the most effective strategy, especially if you are in a more rural or smaller community. Researching local organizations can often provide a list of viable places to contact in hopes of finding an internship.
