Gaining Relevant Work Experience Is Important

You may be thinking that you are not sure that a summer internship is what you want. Perhaps you prefer to travel or work at the same local ice cream shop you've worked at since high school (because it's familiar and you know everyone).

Although traveling can be an exciting and stimulating experience and working where everyone knows us and where we know what to expect is comfortable after a hard couple of semesters in college; perhaps you could also find a full or part-time internship that will give you some valuable work experience, excellent references, and a start to building a strong resume.
