INTERNSHIP PICK OF THE WEEK
Tibor T. Polgar Fellowship Program

Monday November 17, 2008
The Tibor T. Polgar Fellowship Program is designed as a research project conducted jointly by The Hudson River Foundation and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.

Research:

Research is conducted on the Hudson River including important information that covers all aspects of the river and teaches students how to go about doing estuarine studies and public policy research. Due to the educational component of this project, each intern must be sponsored by an advisor willing to commit time to review the research being conducted. Research projects of this nature are extremely important resume builders and these are the types of experiences that employers and graduate schools in the sciences look for in their applicants.

Benefits:

A grant of $3,800 is paid for up to eight college students (undergraduate and graduate).

Application Process:

An electronic copy of the application should be sent in one PDF file to info@hudsonriver.org with the subject heading "Polgar Proposal Submittal."

Deadline to Apply:

One original copy, postmarked no later than Monday, February 23, 2009, must be sent to:

Polgar Fellowship Committee
Hudson River Foundation
17 Battery Place, Suite 915
New York, NY 10004

Letters of support may be submitted separately.
