INTERNSHIP PICK OF THE WEEK

Each year internships are available for students interested in journalism and magazine work. The Magazine Publishers of America sponsors students completing their junior year in college for a ten-week summer internship program.

With the news of Conde Nast cutting 5% of its magazine staff and Time Inc. cutting 600 jobs, jobs in the magazine industry seem uncertain and are part of the latest cutbacks occurring in today’s down economy. This will hopefully not affect internships and will offer students valuable experience for future jobs that open up.
