Internships Abroad Require Planning

Monday November 5, 2007
If you are thinking that you'd like to do an internship abroad, it's important to start early. Researching the many options available takes time and each country has its own set of requirements that need to be met prior to entering the country as a student interested in working as an intern.

It is recommended that you give yourself at least six to eight months to prepare yourself for an internship abroad. This will ensure adequate time to learn of the many opportunities available and to select the one that’s right for you. When utilizing internship placement programs the deadlines will vary and you will need to plan carefully to meet all of the requirements set forth by the organization you select.
