Approaching Internship Deadlines

Deadlines are approaching quickly for some of the most prestigious internships available with the United States and NYS government. If you are interested in obtaining an internship with the government, take a look at some of the following opportunities:

U.S. Department of State
Deadline to Apply is November 1, 2007.

  • Domestic – About half of the internships are in Washington, D.C. A limited number of intern positions are available at Department offices in other large cities in the United States.
  • Overseas – The remaining internships are at embassies and consulates abroad.

    NYS Assembly Internships
    Deadline to Apply is November 1, 2007.
    Internship runs January 7, 2008 – May 14, 2008.

    U.S. Department of State
    Deadline to Apply is November 1, 2007.
    From summer clerical positions to management fellowships, all of which allow students from high school to the post-graduate level the ability to participate in projects vital to the success of U.S. foreign policy.

    Pamela Harriman Foreign Service Fellowship
    The Awards are offered annually to three outstanding undergraduates from across the nation. Offering an eleven-week service opportunity, as well as a $5,000 stipend for travel and living expenses. Fellowships are open to eligible juniors and seniors throughout the United States.
